I grew up in Red Deer, AB and always had an interest in how the body worked and how to prevent and treat injuries. It was from running competitive track and field from junior high into college that I decided to pursue an education focused on all things movement, injury prevention and rehabilitation. In 2005, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alberta and in 2000 a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Over the past ten years, I have worked in the areas of private practice, home care and occupational rehabilitation.
Starting in 2012, I started working in the area of pelvic physiotherapy because of my love for women’s health and the concentrated time spent with each patient. I have completed speciality training in acupuncture, training in treating incontinence (urinary and fecal), dyspareunia (painful intercourse), problems during pregnancy and other types of pelvic pain. I use my combined knowledge from my education and courses in order to prevent injuries and return patients to optimal functioning. I pride myself in providing emphatic, personal care to each patient. I am currently pursuing further education in the area of women’s health and pediatrics. When I am not working, you will find me spending time with my two daughters, biking, running and enjoying the outdoors.

I became interested in Massage Therapy when I worked in a physiotherapy clinic. I noticed how the massage therapists seemed to really know their clients. Therapy is always a body/mind/spirit experience and massage is able to provide a safe space for all three. I love creating that safe space and, at the same time, create true body change through manual therapy. I graduated from Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary in 2012 and have been with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta since then. I live and work in Cochrane and am so thankful for this beautiful town. I have an amazing husband, two wonderful children and one very cute pup.
